Music- Avril Lavigne Part 1: 2000-2003

Ah, the "queen of pop" that rose to fame in the early 2000"s. Now in 2011 we are going to look back in her interesting career.

2000-2003: Let Go

Avril's 1st Album was pretty decent, debuting at number 2 on the Billboard Charts. This album made Avril a household name. She seemed to be just another teenager singer who sang about life's troubles. Her lead single, "Complicated" became one of the best songs of her career, peaking at #1 on the Australian charts, and #2 in the U.S. This song also was one of the best selling songs in Canada from 2002. It even was ranked on the Hot 100 singles of the decade list at number 83. This album got Avril nominated for 8 Grammy's.

The Lying Game- Looking Ahead

Looking ahead for the Lying Games, here is some episode information:

Episode 3: "Double Dibs"

After revealing Sutton's real relationship with Ethan, the Mercers insist she invite him over for dinner. Hesitant because of his obvious feelings for Emma, Ethan obliges, only to have the dinner cut short by a disturbing visit from Dan. As Emma and Ethan struggle to keep order in Arizona, Sutton and Thayer discover shocking revelations in Los Angeles pertaining to the search for the girls' birth mother. Although the outcome may not turn out to be what Sutton had hoped for, it does lead her to wonder what everyone around her has been hiding for all these years. Will Sutton be able to find the answer about why she and Emma were separated, or will her curiosity put her and her loved ones' lives in danger? Meanwhile, Laurel falls for a new guy in school hoping she will finally have something of her own, as opposed to always being in Sutton's shadow. Unfortunately her wishful thinking is cut short when Char calls dibs on the one Laurel did not want to share.

Episode 4: "Twinsense and Sensibility"

After waking up from a terrifying nightmare, Emma learns that Sutton has been suffering from the exact same dream for years. With this discovery, Sutton asks Emma to reminisce on all the memories she has of her childhood with their birth mother, which for Emma is slim to none. It is not until a nighttime rendezvous with Ethan that Emma remembers pieces of her former life, allowing Sutton to locate the house in which Emma shared with their long lost mother, as well as secrets many around them have tried to hide. Will the house and the new information be the missing piece of the puzzle, or are the superstitions true? Can curiosity kill? Meanwhile, with Ethan facing a lot of trouble, Emma tries to convince Ted that Ethan is innocent. But when she pushes, Emma sees she has hit a nerve with Ted, leading her to believe that he might be hiding something. Although she does not know what, it appears Ted is feeling guilty and knows more than he is willing to share about their birth mother.

The Lying Game- Episode 2-Being Sutton

With no word from Sutton, Emma must continue to take her place until she returns from Los Angeles. She also learns of "the lying games", a series of uploaded pranks Sutton and her friends used to play. Emma takes dancing lessons from Ethan to take Sutton's place at an upcoming father-daughter dance. Meanwhile, Laurel becomes suspicious of the new-and-improved Sutton and even gets a bit jealous. She later catches Emma with Ethan and assumes that Sutton is involved in a relationship with him. Emma defends Sutton's best friends, including standing up for Char against her over-the-top mother and starts to bond with them. At the dance, Emma (as Sutton) is thrown into a fight with Madeline and her drunk father, resulting in Ethan slamming him against a wall as a way of defending Emma. At home, Sutton's mother finds Emma's cell phone and confusingly answers a call from her foster brother, asking for an "Emma". Later, Sutton video-chats Emma, telling her that she has faced a few setbacks in L.A. and has to stay in town for a few more days. Sutton also discovers that Ethan has found out about Emma, whom she had never spoken to him about. As she logs off, it is shown that Sutton is actually working with Thayer, Madeline's brother who's trying to make it in L.A. despite his father's disapproval. Laurel tells her parents about Sutton and Ethan after her father becomes suspicious of him after what happened at the dance and they go upstairs to confront her about it, only to find that Ethan was in her room. At the end of the episode, it is revealed that Madeline's father was behind the theft of Sutton's laptop, meaning that he also has some secrets of his own.

In my opinion, this was a very good episode, and the series seems to have potential. Now, it may not become as popular as Pretty Little Liars, but, it has a good story line and good actors. It seems to be a modern day, Parent Trap. The acting is pretty believable, just a bunch of catty teenagers trying to figure out life. While watching this episode I can't help wondering how long it is going to be before someone figures out they switched. I am pretty sure that my parents would notice if I were acting diffrently all of a sudden. Anyways, it has potential and I can't wait to see upcoming episodes.
